My goal is to help YOU create an expansive tool box of playful fitness movements. Then I will help you to learn how to tap into your own inner guidance, and learn how to utilize these tools organically and intuitively. Each session we will check in with you inner guidance to ask and see what feels right for you that day... and then we will incorporate a variety of movement principles to honor that truth, in a way that helps rewire your brain to experience movement and exercise as fun, playful & dynamic, building your strength, stamina, mobility & more over time. Let’s be honest there is a LOT of stereotype out there about what exercise SHOULD look like, and it just isn’t true... because, in reality, the list of options for movement is truly endless.... and ultimately what we have to ask ourself is do I believe in it, does it support my goals, and am I having fun?
It’s also important to note that often over time your goals around movement might change, and I can help you to learn how to make sure you aren’t falling into some dogma or idea of how exercise has to be, so that you can find the type of exercise that truly aligns to your goals in each step of the process, because it can always be FUN! The worst is when we do something for so long going through the motions, or do something because we were told its what we should do, but it isn't even supporting our actual goals. We never have to do a certain exercise because we learned or were told we had to do it. It simply isn’t true. The flip side is we might also get taught that something particular is bad for us, which also is not true. Questions to ask: Are we enjoying it and approaching it mindfully?
Sometimes too, in the presence of chronic pain or illness, we start to learn false associations with certain movements. For example, maybe after back pain, or brain begins to believe that dead lifts are bad. Or perhaps we heal through CFS and our brain has convinced us over time that we don't have the energy to run. Well, we know these are FALSE associations and anything is possible, so attaching playfulness and laughter to our movement is a sure way to rewire our brain's perceptions.
I’m well adversed in a large variety of fitness and movement principals, including how to break movement down into its most simplistic regressions or complex progressions. Knowing the appropriate progression is such a wonderful way to incorporate incremental training into movement.... we slowly teach our brain we can do this and little by little we add on. A common false belief is that the only incremental way to progress on movement is through load or speed. The reality is that possibilities of regression/progression are infinite.
So if you are ready to move mindfully, to incorporate play into your fitness, to expand your tool box. and to learn to move more intuitively, whilst rewiring your brain around “exercise” then reach out to me! And in the meantime be thinking about your current goals - it’s good to have long term goals... but we will break them down into current goals within your training zone and apply creative ways to build from there.
You will learn fun practical ways to move your body that not only benefit your body and help you move mindfully in alliance with your goals, but will be beneficial for the brain 🧠 👊🏼 👏🏼❤️

What people are saying about class:
I have been taking A Dose of Movement classes with Chazmith the past couple of months and I look forward to every class ! Chazmith brings in great positive and happy energy to all her classes! She gives us great explanations on how to do the main exercises with other options of movement. There is only positive encouragement to follow along as your body is able. She has great knowledge on the exercises she does with us and great variety as well. My body and mind feel aligned after the classes. Love it 🥰

I am one of the lucky participants in Chaz’s weekly movement class. I have benefited greatly from the foundation she created at the start and then building from that each week. I have found the movements easy, fun and effective to practice between classes throughout the week. I continue to strengthen and challenge myself each week and am very grateful for the new strength that I now have that benefits me in all parts of my life. Chaz’s knowledge of the body and movement runs deep and her flexibility, enthusiasm and kindness creates a very welcoming space for everyone to connect with, love and strengthen their body. - Susan P-
I really love Chazmith’s movement classes as they are so easily applicable to my energy levels I have on that specific day. Afterwards I always feel great, and can literally feel the progress I made in my healing journey. -Min-
Chazmith’s Movement Class has been an incredibly joyful experience. I have taken several exercise & yoga classes throughout the years and I have to say her classes are by far the best! Chazmith’s classes always seem to be well thought out and planned but with room to adjust to the needs of the group. She includes different modalities of movement and healing that blend well together. Her demeanor and smile make you happy just to be in her class. If anyone was looking for a class that made you feel fantastic both physically and mentally, then you have found the right teacher!!
