Living simply
Feeling free No need for stuff I can just be Releasing what no longer serves me No clutter in my space Non essential have no place Clearing out what I don’t need Non attachment to things No heaviness I love simplicity Not continuing to contribute To more stuff in circulation That ends up in landfills, or even the ocean 2020 time to take a stand Make conscious choices To protect the earth And do the best I can Having faith and knowing My best will keep on growing It’s a process - one step at a time Each day learning how to redefine Old habits or ways of living After all she’s given me This is the least I can be doing Make choices that are eco friendly And choices that are kind To be conscious of my spending I will not support corporations that don’t give a damn Or even a dime When there are so many organizations Trying to do it right I’m not perfect But I hope to spread some light Questioning our choices Decisions Products And supposed needs We say we love the Earth and people Then where we shop and what be buy matters The questions that we ask Who is profitting off that Why would I pay any company to advertise for them - That joke would be on me Why do we always feel for everything to be brand new When there is so much available only gently used Some people pull the abundance card And I get it - I’m all about that But since when can’t we maintain abundance And still show regard for the Earth and in the end Support our fellow humans Stand against unfair labor practices Support the eco companies genuinely trying do right There are so many simply small steps That each of can us take It’s simply starts with being curious Ask questions Do some research Ask if we really need this And where will it end up in 1-2-5 years time But don’t get me wrong it’s a process for sure Takes so much practice to learn A new way of being in a new paradigm But making a commitment to make small shifts over time Buy less Shop local Shop used Support refill and bulk supplies Figure out each day how to rely Less and less on plastic Which is such a sad waste Call me optimistic But I truly believe we can all get better at this One choice, one challenge, one day at a time. #chooselove 💕
