I learned that when you are afraid to fail - you create failure.
I learned that when you actually fail - you reflect, learn, grow & make sure to not make the same failures again, or so you hope. I learned that you can't allow yourself to be stuck in the failure - caught up in it - dwelling on it. You can't get stuck in the would haves, could haves, or should haves… because this is a dead end cycle… dwelling on the failure isn't growing through the failure and doesn't bring you out on top. I learned that there is always a lesson to learn. I learned that when you fail you are not alone - everyone has been there. I learned it isn't about the failure itself as much as what you will do about it. I learned it isn't usually as horrible or scary as imagined, but it can still hurt like hell. I learned that fearing failure is the worst! Because it holds you back, you miss out on life and the richness of it, opportunities, and mostly in the act of fearing the failure you can often create it into reality. Because when our actions are led by fear, these actions can often lead us directly down the path we fear, into the place we don't want to go, experiencing the failure we feared. Some call this a self fulfilling prophecy. Our thoughts are powerful beyond measure because they lead to feelings and choices and actions, which all lead to outcomes. I learned that in the failure you often discover how very blessed you still are if you are willing to look at all the other aspects of life from a gracious heart. I learned that failure isn't the end of the world… and life goes on…
